You're a wizard, Harry.

In adoration of velvet, I stumbled across this blue velvet jumper/cape/hooded thing in my favourite op-shop a while ago. (they only ever sell Vintage) It doesn't have a tag or anything, but either way, I love it. It's a bit too big, and it's also kind of frumpy, so I need to tuck it in at the waist to give it shape, but it's really warm and really comfortable. I've been wearing a lot of velvet lately, but this is just so comfortable and so amazing that it's just... ipeughsepiuerg I can't describe it. It also has a hood, which makes me feel totally gansta, with a mixture of Harry Potter. I wear it with black leggings and black boots.

On the Country Road, is where I reside.

This is one of my favourite shirts, purely because of the colour. I also really love how it's off-the-shoulder, but the elastic is long gone, as my mother bought this when she was around my age, but other than needing to pull it up a lot (I'm fixing it soon) it's also extremely comfy. I wear this with high-waisted leggings and my hair in a top braid. It's supposed to be over-sized, and it's also really long.

Mah Vintage Bruh

Here we have my Vintage Christian Dior turban, which I bought from this little boutique that sells only vintage designer items, I'm also good friends with the owners daughter (we skype ;D) but this is my beauty, that I love with all my heart. Also, excuse the horrid skin, for I've been caking on makeup for my school production and my skin isn't taking it too well!

What I wore to celebrate the Royal Wedding (Kate's dress was AMAZING - I also won $70) This is my mum's vest from the 80's, which has been passed down to me, and frankly, I adore this Union Jack beauty. I wore it with my pirate shirt and a high-waisted black pencil skirt. I truly love this vest though, it's just so amazing, although I really do need to replace the middle button some time soon.

I love Weight Watchers.

Okay, so it's not fashion related, but, in a way it kind of is, because this means that I'll soon be wanting to post pictures of my daily outfits! So, it's actually really amazing, because it still allows for you to have treats, I mean, last night mum and I had this really nice chocolate eclairs, but we exceed our daily limit of calories, and it's actually really awesome. The food is all so bloody delicious, and right now I'm drinking this really sweet hot chocolate, but it's less than 60 calories. Oh my god, I am loving this though, except for all the muesli, because I'm not exactly fond of muesli, however, everything else is really, really good. Also, the amount of almonds I'm allowed to eat is basically heaven.

How to rock: High-waisted shorts

  • Always make sure to add a blazer for that boyish look.
  • Have a shirt tucked in. There’s nothing worse than the bumps from zips and everything like that underneath a shirt.
  • Now, you can wear it two ways
     - with a tight shirt, you should keep it a simple colour, but I’m also not very fond of colour
    - with a loose shirt, now this can be anything you want, just make sure the shorts are very tight around the waist, so there’s a clear definition of your shorts from your shirt.
  • I prefer a simple colour over something bright, so keep it cool with light or dark denims, or a navy blue.
  • White high-waisted shorts are also very flatting, or even something in lace, if you’re brave.
  • Anyone can wear high-waisted shorts, but it’s all about finding the right pair.
  • If you’re fussy, go and find a tailored pair, that will flatter you from every angle

How to rock: Purple Lipstick

·         Make sure it fits your personal style. Don’t go wearing it, if you’re a complete girly girl, unless you want to take your look to a new edge
·         Make sure your hair and eyes are simple, because going overboard with makeup is going to make you look like something from The Craft gone wrong.
·         I personally think that Purple lipstick looks best with hair up, in a top braid or in a high-bun.
·         Don’t wear purple clothes, unless you want to look like a grape.
·         If you’re OCD, then go with purple nail polish or a purple bow.
·         I think this looks best with either all black, or a floral dress.
·         Keep the look personal with a signature necklace and earrings
·         If you must have your hair down, throw in a wide-brim hat and a pair of large sun glasses.
·         Don’t go get a really dark tan to wear this look, it’s better with lighter skin
·         Keep the look simple, and don’t go overboard.
·         Make sure you know how to apply lipstick, unless you want to look like a 7 year old getting into mummies makeup.

How to rock: White Lace

(Emma Watson filming for Lancome)
  • Like Emma, keep it all in a pastel or nude outfit.
  • White lace is very delicate, very elegant and very chic, so make sure everything is all lady-like.
  • Think Audrey not Miley for an outfit including white lace.
  • Suit it all up with a peach, beige or creme blazer and a bowler hat.
  • I find that white lace shorts are the perfect way to complete one of my favourite looks, the Boyish look, because you’re keeping the feminine touch, but by adding a hat, a blazer and even a pair of Brogues, it’s boyish, but still feminine.
  • Don’t go overboard on the makeup, either, for you need to keep an outfit including white lace simple. Chic eyeliner is the key here.
  • Throw in something peach and something black when working with white lace!
  • Go for black or peach nailpolish, and keep to that particular theme

How to rock: White Docs

  • You can’t.
  • They’re just too grotesque
  • Seriously.
  • Why do people buy them?
  • They make me want to vomit.
  • Fuck.

Oh my god, I am so pleased with this Alexander McQueen beauty. Kate looks absolutely stunning, now excuse my while I go cry, because I always cry during weddings.

They think Kate Middleton's dress is going to be McQueen. I kind of really hope it is.

Dear Alice.

Tim Burton's 2010 film/remake of the classic novel Alice in Wonderland was quite annoying, as it wasn't Alice in Wonderland or Alice Through the Looking Glass, but either way, it was still tasteful for the eyes to see. I loved the film, while it was annoying, simply because of the use of colour, texture and costume. The use of costume in this film was certainly brilliant, because it took a completely different turn on the classic. The consistency of the blue was certainly a plus, as well as the change of dress throughout the film.

While I can't remember why it's there, I liked the blue ribbon on her arm, but the dress itself was quite... not nice. I personally didn't like this particular costume.

I was also very fond of the take on the classic dress, but more or less I really adored the shoes here. It was a change I was certainly pleased with, and the take in this classic was also more medieval than I expected. The length was nice, as well as the fitted waist.

The suit of Armour was something I did not expect, and while it's not exactly fashion or anything like that, I also did really love it, considering my adoration for Armour rings.
Mia_Wasikowska_008.jpgMia_Wasikowska_005.jpg
This was perhaps my favourite costume from the entire film. I loved the red, the cut and the odd feather shoulder-type-thing. This was really the most beautiful costume in my opinion, but I did enjoy the turn from the blue to flatter the Red Queen. This dress really shows the aggression of Alice.

All I can say for this dress is, that it was absolutely breathtaking. The halter neck as well as the shoulders (or lack there-of) was simply stunning.

Christian Dior Fall 2011 GIF

The block colours of Elie Saab this season were outstanding. I cannot express my love for the simplicity of everything that was done here, and it was all just so superb that I cannot find the words to express how much I loved this. The fact that the models were all walked down by their specific colour was also quite attractive, but also the fact that there was lots of different lengths and sleeves was kind of beautiful too. I love the Red dress (row two, column three) and how much everything just seemed to perfect. It's like a modern fairy-tales dream.
I for one was certainly pleased with the Chloe Fall 2011 RTW collection, and I'm not fond of colour. I really loved the ponchos, and the jeans, as well as the Orange button up shirt. It kind of made me feel like the 70's, but in a good way. I did like that there was a mixture of definite colour and black and white. I also truly adored the bags by Chloe this season. The shapes and colours were certainly outstanding. Now, the shoes are where I'm a bit fuzzy, for I only really enjoyed the the thick heeled sandal and the stiletto with the bow, but that might just be me. With the use of colours, including neutrals and pastels, Chloe kind of rocked my world.

.
My favourites from A Detacher Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear.

Akris Fall 20111 RTW

The only thing I liked from Alberta Ferretti Fall 2011 RTW, because I personally find that everything else was way too colourful, but in a way that I really don't like. I'm not a fan of colour, but everything else was too much.

Albino White.

Albino Fall 2011 Ready To Wear certainly had it's ups and downs, but what I enjoyed, I REALLY loved. The, what appears to be, woolen short sleeved jumper was my personal favourite, along with the black dress, the multi coloured dress, and the gray knit dress in the bottom picture. I also really loved the beige-ey t-shirt/singlet sleeve. It was really a good collection, when you ignore all the fur.

Poor effort.

The only things I enjoyed from Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 RTW, which is quite a shame, and even then, I only really adore the shoes.

ACNE, oh you.

Oh, Acne. The Fall 2011 Ready To Wear collection was simply amazing, all except a few minor issues, like that of the dark brown leather dungarees and the metallic top with the peach sheer skirt, I do however adore the blue button up shirt and the black tule/chiffon skirt, and I also really loved the olive green leather biker jacket and especially the orange velvet jumpsuit. Everything except the sheer blue see-through knit jumper was simply stunning.

After Dark

A.F Vandevorst Fall 2011 RTW

There are no LIMits

Yes, Pun intended. 3.1 Phillip Lim did a magnificent job for the Fall 2011 collection, especially looking at the brown leather pants and sleeves used quite a lot, but there was also something about the pants in this collection that certainly made my heart skip a beat. I loved the different coloured panels as well as the black and white zip-less and button-less cardigan. For some reason, I always associate 3.1 Phillip Lim with shirts, but this time I'm more in love with the white dress (center, first image) and the gray and black woolen knit dress. I'm unsure of what it is about this, but at first look I wasn't really fond of anything, I have since grown to love almost everything, especially what looks like a black jumpsuit. (bottom, centre image)

Heart is pounding.

The Miu Miu Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear collection was absolutely stunning. The colour, or lack thereof, was simply suburb, and everything was just so lush that I want to die. I loved it all apart from the fur waist tie-type-thing, but other than that everything was amazing. The orange shirt with the black pencil skirt is the first thing that caught my eye, but the orange... thing, over that gray/brown dress was also quite nice. I don't know if I would wear it, personally, but I do however really love it. Everything else was simply amazing, like the black shirts and blue collars, with pants that kind of look like track pants, was also quite nice. I adored the pencil skirts and the coats, especially like that with of the olive green woolen coat. The dress in the very last picture on the right is also very nice. It's quite 40's with a modern touch.

Into gear.

So, yes, it is very old news, and yes, I think a lot of people are over it, but I am still madly in love with the Alexander Wang Fall 2010 Ready-To-Wear. I loved the mixture of leather, sheer and stripes. My personal favourite was the red and white stripe tail-coat shirt with the puffy light denim shorts, but I especially adore the long, messy side braid, that was also seen for Miu Miu Spring Ready-To-Wear 2010. The entire collection was very American Football Leather meets French party-esque Sheer clothes, along with that one random splash of colour. Alexander Wang was really bought to life with this collection for I know a lot of people had never heard of A.Wang before this, which is actually quite depressing. I find that A.Wang is really a great designer for the younger generation, like Chanel was in the 20's, A.Wang is something that a lot of kids in the younger generation will love and adore, because it's all something 'fresh.' Looking at the collection as a whole, this is still my favourite set from A. Wang, for some reasons I cannot explain. Here are some of my favourite looks:
I really need to identify that this is my favourite outfit, with the American Football inspired purse and the tail-coat with the shorts.
