I'm back!
And I will be deleting all my useless posts, and posts that don't really mean anything - although I'm considering just wiping this page clear and starting entirely fresh, with my new post format and outlook online. Things will be running a bit differently, and I'll be posting not as much a day - a maximum of five posts, I think, because I do think I post an overwhelming amount. I'm considering redoing all my reviews and whatnot, but I'll give it a few days for all of you to LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK - THIS MEANS COMMENTS! :) I'll also be letting a bit more of my nerdy side show, with reviews of costumes in my favourite video games, as well as what I like and dislike about the game, because I want my blog to show who I am and I'm not all fashion, so this is it. This is the new LMNS

I'm considering completely doing over my blog.
Like I did with my tumblr, however I'll be changing the name of my blog, including the URL, as well as the background, theme and whatnot - however I'm not entirely sure what to do, and while I do love LMNS I think I just need a bit of change.

How to rock: Leather pants
Credit to Annemiek |
So, I've been meaning to post it for sometime, but my internet has been whoring itself out and I've been unable to post pictures, so here is quite the post. First of all I love leather pants, but shamefully, you need to have tiny legs, or you'll look like a whale caught in a leather factory. Brutal, but true. If you're thighs are too wide, then you're walking in the wrong territory. However, if you're lucky enough to have small thighs well then...
- Make sure they're skinny leg. I think wide legged leather trousers are disgusting in all manners.
- Keep it either black or red. Over the top colours are making too much of a statement, and may make you look like a Mardi Gras reject.
- Unless you're a biker, don't wear a leather jacket. Mix it up with denim or cashmere
- If it's black leather, think a red skin-tight top and a black jacket, with black boots, for the rebellious feel
- If you want to keep yourself familiar with the things you love, then think about tucking in a khaki shirt and docs for a military look.
- Think Punk. Not goth, Punk.
- It's all about having the attitude to wear them, so go for the dark, edgy side of style, and make a statement with a bold lipstick.
- If you're anything like me, you love leather, and want to wear it as much as possible, but really, I think leather pants aren't that versatile, so things like rock chick and punk looks are always good.
- Weird, but I think you should always have your hair up when it comes to leather pants. I can't quite explain why, but trust me on this. Having your hair down and shaggy is all good if you're wearing something that's revealing up top, but it's a key thing to keep your hair in a bun, or a top braid or something. I just think having hair down is too overwhelming. I'm not saying it doesn't look good... but it's just my thing.

Fly in the Galaxy
Christopher Kane showcased a brilliant selection of spaced out items, including leather and of course the galaxy print in his Resort 2011 collection, of which I still adore greatly. Now, I dislike these 'black milk' leggings that are quite blatantly horrible, but the CK 2011 Resort was brilliant in absolutely every way. Nothing was better than showcasing a bunch of brilliantly bright things, with a mixture of great colours and black leather. It's hard to resist temptation to fly back to the 70's in a space ship with the brilliant jumpsuits, from a 50's collar to a 70's sleeve selection. The contrast in colour and fabric was the most defined feature for Kane, as it usually is, but there was something so certainly select in this collection.
Kane takes a 50's collar and bust with a magnificently loose skirt in the same pattern, and really achieves the ideal look with a sleek bun (or pony tail?) but the only thing I'm not loving is the shoes. The dark nebulae jumpsuit with long sleeves and a deep plunge matching with a leather belt in black was superb. It was the perfect difference in fabric, because by going with something lighter it would have thrown out the entire outfit. Now, the sheer frill on the shoulders with a leather bustier was kind of confusing for me. I'm not sure of I like the shoulders or not, however the black leather with the nebulae pattern matched perfectly. Kane is a genius when it comes to the perfect contrast.
The black high-waisted shorts were simply outstanding, and are something I adore in the extreme. Normally with so much repetition in a collection, I kind of get sick of it, but Kane certainly kept me entertained for this entire show, because while it's all similar, there's something new sparked up in each outfit.I love the nebulae pattern as a tight shirt with the black high-waisted shorts. Then there is the stunning front-zip halter neck dress, with the perfect short collar and the brilliantly full skirt, because it's not so full that it's too revealing, but it's not flat enough to be clingy. There was something defined as perfect in this collection, and that was it. Yet again there was the jumpsuit, but this time with my favourite 50's collar and bust, but in a lighter terms in comparison to the other jumpsuit, and I really like this one more, because the cut is just so flattering on the arms. Also the wide leg goes much better with a bust like this.
The mid-sleeves with the over sized puffy end was something peculiar, but it was brilliant either way. I love the short skirt, because it's a very sixties style. I'm sure if dresses like that were around in the 60's we'd all be sick of seeing them by now, from how outstanding they are. I for one didn't enjoy the red fluffy heels though, because they remind me of something from Miss Bimbo. The deep blue high-collar dress was a particular favourite, but I just really adore dark clothes. The shoulders are at a nice width in comparison to the collar, which is always lovely. There is of course the nebulae shorts and top, which at first gives the appearance of a playsuit/romper, however I'm not too sure what I like about it, but there is something there that I really do like. It's also quite boyish. Now, if you've noticed that I haven't posted anything that goes below the knee (other than the jumpsuits) it's because I really thought they were disgusting. Everything else in the collection was outstanding, except for the hideous 'house-wife dresses' which kind of made me want to cry.
Anarchy on a ship
With the newest Pirate of the Caribbean coming out, and Doctor Who making a big statement on a Pirate ship, my already obscenely passionate adoration for pirates is seriously sparking up again. Now, my obsession for the pirate look began when I was very, very young, and I have dressed as a pirate on many an occasion, so I think I know my stuff. This isn’t how to dress up as a pirate costume, but for that pirate inspired look.
- Boots. Whether they’re below the ankle, or just under the knee, black lace-up boots are where you want to go for the Pirate look. I have a pair of Vintage Vivienne Westwoods that have a silver point-toe, and skulls straps, that are big for my pirate scene, as well as a pair of standard black lace-up boots that come right under the knee.
- If you go with knee high-boots, then go with black leggings underneath. The reason for this is because of the over sized coat I’m going to go into soon.
- An over-sized, woolen coat in either gray, black or navy blue is the only way to go pirate, with over-sized sleeves and an obscene amount of buttons in mis-matched sizes and colours is always good.
- For a shirt, think about stripes, but in either red and white, red and black, or blue and white, and keep it tight and long sleeved.
- If you’re big on having a darker wardrobe, then a simple long-sleeved black shirt will do fine.
- The reason I think it needs to be long sleeved is kind of hard to explain, but short is good too. JUST NO SINGLETS, PLEASE.
- This is a very good look for Winter, because you can put on as many layers as you please.
- A piece of random fabric or a thin scarf tied around the head, with a bow just below the ears is good for hair-styles, but you can go with the hat if you’re very brave, and do not fear in looking like you’re in a costume.
- Black chipped nail-polish is also quite good, for the rugged ‘I’ve been at sea for too long. ‘CBF painting my nails.’
- Smoulder in your eyes. Keep it thick and heavy, and do not fear in smudging anything!
- If the jacket isn’t your thing, I still say keep with the leggings, because you want to look casual, like this is your thing, not like you’re going to a dress up party, so go with a large, white cotton, long sleeved shirt, with a very long neutral vest.
- Look at Vivienne Westwood, or typical Pirate films for inspiration!
The Seven Year Itch
So, I'm currently snuggled up with my Mario slippers, leggings, my Superman hoody and a hot chocolate watching The Seven Year Itch with my dearest mother, and I am simply in love with everything Marilyn wears, but then again, I always love what Marilyn wears. The Seven Year Itch created the iconic image of Marilyn over a vent, and the classic white dress flying up. It's been ripped off by many films, shows, cartoons and ads, but nothing will ever beat Marilyn and Tom Ewell. While the iconic dress is simply outstanding, I need to share the love with some of the other things she wears, including the two piece pant and jacket set in baby pink, which kind of makes Marilyn look like a Barbie doll, but it is one of the rare occasions that I adore it, because she can actually make the outfit work. The three-quarter leg high-waisted pants with the over sized pink jacket and matching pink belt around the waist is kind of the ideal outfit for the 50's.
Taking a look at the iconic white plunge. halter neck dress, Marilyn looks outstanding as per usual, but this dress has really shaped a generation. Not mine, although it has greatly influenced a lot of my formal-wear. The dress has created spoofs and millions of covers and photoshoots for a lot of celebrities, but the dress creates the idealistic hour-glass, and is really flattering on a lot of figures, if it's made the right way. I can't imagine it in any colour other than white, and I can't really picture it on anyone but a blonde, with the perfectly shaped lips and the gorgeous flicks on the eyes and the perfect little white heels
Then of course there is the fantasy dress, with the fantasy hair and the fantasy scene, when possibly my favourite line of 'Oh, keep playing. Don't stop playing! Don't stop! ... Why did you stop' occurs, and it always makes me laugh. It's just typically hilarious. The dress is outstanding, however I'm not too fond of her hair, but the scene is so fantastic so it's okay. I also adore gloves, so the stunning gloves above the elbows are just perfection. I'm also quite sure I own a pair of very similar earrings.
